Corporator’s hubby booked for molestation

The Mumbra police, on Tuesday, registered an offence of molestation against one Sarfaraz Ansari, husband of a corporator following a complaint by a 27-year-old woman. Police said that the victim complained of Ansari, husband of Congress corporator Saziya Ansari, using foul language and trying to pull her towards him during a public meeting at Kausa.
It is learnt that residents of Devri Pada at Kausa had gathered to resolve the problem of water scarcity with local corporators at 4pm on Tuesday.
“While the discussion was underway, Ansari raised his voice and mouthed abuses at the victim’s elderly father. When she intervened, he used foul language and pulled her towards him,” said a police official.
