PGI to start paramedical courses

PGI to start paramedical courses
LUCKNOW: Looking at the dearth of technical manpower in super-specialty hospitals of the state, Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) will soon be starting graduate and postgraduate paramedical courses.
These will include BSc, MSc and PhD paramedical courses in dialysis technology, laboratory technology, hematology and physiotherapy.

The decision was taken by the SGPGIMS governing body council at a meeting chaired by chief secretary Alok Ranjan on Friday. He also directed the hospital to resolve the issue of manpower by outsourcing so as to provide better medical facilities to patients at the institute.
Officials were also asked to take necessary actions for providing salary and allowances to employees of SGPGIMS at par to AIIMS.
