CCSU gets over 2 lakh applications, over 10000 from GBNagar

NOIDA: Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) has received over 2 Lakh applications for the academic session of 2016-17 with as many as 10380 registrations from Gautam Budh Nagar, around 1500 more than 2015.
The varsity conducts online registrations and students can log on to the link www.ccsuniversity.ac.in for admissions in various colleges under CCSU.
While the maximum number of applications have been received from Meerut, Ghaziabad comes on the second spot, being a suitable option for students from the district as well as Gautam Budh Nagar.
Till now, as many as 10380 applications have been received from Gautam Budh Nagar while for Ghaziabad, the number if 49, 480, which is the second highest.
The registration process for under-graduate programmes like B.A, B.Sc, B.Sc (P.E) and B.Com, which began on June 12, will continue till June 28th.
“Students can register themselves through the varsity’s website till June 27. Those already registered and want correction in any of the details filled in the form by them, have time to edit the same by June 27,” CCSU spokesperson Vimala Yerramilli said.
The varsity will release the first merit list on June 28, she said, adding that the admission process would begin the same day. CBSE students can fill in the marks received in “best-five” subjects but the same should include the subject that the student wants to opt for in graduation.
The colleges under CCSU in Gautam Budh Nagar include govt PG College Noida, Mihir Bhoj (P.G) College, Greater Noida, KM Mayawati Government Mahila Degree College, Badalpur and a number of self-financed institutions in Greater Noida.
In Ghaziabad, the colleges under CCSU include MM Degree College, Modinagar, M.M.H. College, V.M.L.G. College, S.D. College, K.D. College, Simbhaoli, Ginni Devi Modi Girls (P.G.) College Modinagar,
Manyawar Kanshiram Government Degree College, Siddique Nagar, Loni, Lajpat Rai (PG) College,Sahibabad.

Meanwhile, the APJ Abdul Kalam Techical University began its online counseling session for the first time on Friday. After registration, the students will get three options after seat allotment, which include “freeze your seat”, “float” and “withdraw”. While the first option is for those who are confirmed that they will opt for a particular seat in the chosen college, “float” will help those students who are unsure about the college they have chosen and want to explore other options. It will help them remain open to the college they want an admission in as they can change it later and freeze their seat.
