Geetha Reddy slams govt for hike in bus fare & power tariff

Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman Dr J Geetha Reddy has demanded that the State government withdraw the increased bus fares and power tariff immediately.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Geetha Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who assured that he will not increase the bus fares, has forgotten his own assurance in this regard. She alleged that the TRS government burdened the poor and middle class people by increasing power and RTC charges. She warned that the Congress will prepare an action plan along with other political parties in case the government failed to withdraw the increased fares. She said the government was working as it wished in regard to Mission Bhagiratha, Palamuru-Rangareddy, Kaleswaram projects. The government was burdening the Khazana by accepting commissions, she alleged. (NSS)
