Earlier this year, Warner Bros. announced that Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens would offer some content exclusively for people who buy the game on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3.

The developer has now detailed the Droids Character Pack, which is one of two PlayStation-exclusive add-ons. As explained on the PlayStation Blog, the the droids featured in the pack include the following:

  • R5-D4 (the droid Luke Skywalker bought in the first film before it malfunctioned and he opted for R2-D2)
  • IG-88 (from Star Wars: Episode V -- The Empire Strikes Back)
  • Captain Battle Droid, Super Battle Droid, Captain Commando Droid (from Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series)
  • General Grievous
  • ME-8D9 (from Star Wars: The Force Awakens)
  • W1-LE (from Star Wars: Rebels animated series)
  • Vulture-class droid starfighter for flight levels
  • Microfighter version (for the the game's five different free play areas)

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens launches on June 28 for all major platforms. The Droids Character Pack will be available on that day for PS4 and PS3. The second PlayStation-exclusive add-on is called the Phantom Limb Level Pack, but we don't know anything about it yet.

Gamers on other platforms aren't being left out in the cold entirely, however. The Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens Season Pass, which is available on all platforms, comes with three level packs and five additional characters.

The game's story is set between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. For lots more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage of the game.
