PATNA: The Bihar Human Rights Commission (BHRC) sought an action taken report from East Champaran SP in the alleged gang rape case of a 10-year-old girl hailing from Jamui village in East Champaran district.
The commission took suo motu cognisance of media reports that a minor was allegedly gang-raped in East Champaran and that her family was living under fear and trauma because of the threats they were getting.
“The matter is pretty serious,” BHRC chairman Bilal Nazki said, adding a detailed report was sought by the SP by Monday. The case is listed next on June 27.
