Putin's Meeting With German Vice-Chancellor Canceled After Brexit - Kremlin
12:05 GMT 24.06.2016 (Updated: 12:09 GMT 24.06.2016) Russian President Vladimir Putin will not meet German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel next week because the trip to Moscowwas cancelled after the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Thursday, the United Kingdom held a referendum to determine whether or not the country should leave the European Union. According to the final results, 51.9 percent of voters, or 17.4 million people, decided to support Brexit, while about 16.1 million opposed it.
Gabriel was expected to visit Russia next week to discuss Germany-Russia relations.
