Leaders who talk about “Muslim free India” should be sent to mental asylum: Sharad Pawar

Aurangabad: Controversial statement like “Muslim free India” will not be tolerated, said NCP Chief Sharad Pawar while addressing the Aurangabad iftar organized by the party.

“This country is not anyone’s father’s property, he said and added that insane people uttering such statements should be admitted in the mental asylum.

He furthered that India belongs to every religion and millions of workers who live in the country and those who cause divisions and and disturb the communal harmony by doing such things has no support base.

With such confused statements, they only misleads people, he said.

People of different religions have the right to live in India and all over the country. The people who speak out against Muslims of India should be send to the asylum, he said.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has officially organised Iftar parties at Aurangabad, Pune and Mumbai in the presence of  the party chief.

According to sources from the party, the NCP is concentrating on securing Muslim votes bank with the party as AIMIM is trying to increase its base in the city .

The party wants to stop the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) from cutting into its votes.

If they will go with the AIMIM, it will help the BJP, they said.
