The Mangaluru city police have filed a 770-page chargesheet at the third JMFC court here on Thursday in the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case.

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru city police have filed a 770-page chargesheet at the third JMFC court here on Thursday in the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case.
The chargesheet filed under Section 302 of the IPC mentions Naresh Shenoy, who is absconding, as the prime accused.
Police have so far arrested six persons pertaining to the murder of the RTI activist.
The last arrested was Srikant, 42, son of Aithappa Mulya and a resident of Kavoor. He is accused of mediating between Shenoy and the three arrested people who were hired for allegedly murdering Baliga.
Baliga, 52, was murdered near his house at Kodialbail in the city in the wee hours of March 21. Police have arrested Vineet Poojary, Nishit Devadiga, Shiva alias Shivaprasad, Shailesh and K Manjunath Shenoy, who has been released on bail.
Police have formed special teams to trace Shenoy and the other accused.
