Lt Gen Negi commends MCTE efforts
Mhow: The General Officer Commanding of central command Lt Gen BS Negi visited the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) on Wednesday where he carried out the annual inspection of the organisation.
MCTE commandant Maj Gen Harvijay Singh briefed Lt Gen Negi on the training activities that are being run in the college. Negi also inspected the training and administrative infrastructure of the college and reviewed their efficacy.
The MCTE press release stated that he commended the efforts taken by the college in the creation of a modern training infrastructure, initiatives to enhance the quality of life and projects for water harvesting and environment development.
MCTE is a premier training institution of Indian army which was earlier called the School of Signals; it trains the officers, junior commissioned officers and jawans in the field of signals, telecommunications and information technology. Other arms of the army also undergo training at MCTE.
