Yoga day celebrated in schools

DAV Public School, Thane celebrated second International Yoga Day in the school premises on June 21, 2016.

Vrikshasana, Parvatasana, Padmasana, Vajrasana were some of the asanas performed by the students.

The main attraction of the day was the performance of Suryanamaskar for which co-ordination of body and mind is very important. The School had also arranged for a talk highlighting the importance of Yoga in a student’s life.
