He fell unconscious and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The incident took place in the afternoon when one Tarun Shrivastava of Bhat Gali (Ujjain) approached additional superintendent of police SS Verma.

Policemen held him up as he revealed that he had consumed pesticides. He was rushed to a hospital where his condition was reported serious.
Shrivastava is an architect by profession and had designed the Ujjain planetarium. He later told the police that he had borrowed Rs 5 lakh from one Dharmendra Prajapat, LN Jaiswal, Ram Rathore and Kalu. He has repaid over Rs 50 lakh, but the money lenders were still asking for money. They even sent some policemen to my home to threaten him, he said. ASP Verma told TOI, "We have sent the man to hospital for treatment. Once he is okay, we will consider his complaint."
