Noida: UP chief secretary Alok Ranjan on Thursday inaugurated the ICU and indoor facility of Noida's Super Speciality Paediatric Institute and Post Graduate Teaching Institute in Sector 30. The facilities were inaugurated through video conference from Lucknow.
There are 40 beds in the ICU and 80 beds in indoor services. Ranjan said, "We assure you that there will not be any problem in the infrastructure of the hospital." Ranjan had earlier planned to visit Noida for the inauguration, but had to cancel it owing to other engagements.
Dr A K Bhatta, director of the institute, said the hospital has recruited faculty members in the field of medical sciences.
"We have also recruited 57 nurses and 20 doctors. We will start 80-bed indoor services where patients can be admitted for better medical care," Bhatta said. At present, the institute caters to nearly 200 patients in its (outpatient department) OPD.
Bhatta said the institute also aims to start postgraduate programmes and PhD in medicine from the next academic session. The faculty members at the institute will offer medical treatment to patients and also teach medical students. The institute also aims to have a hi-tech operation theatre.
