Bullion dealers’ association secretary dead

All Kerala Gold and Silver Merchants Association general secretary M. Ram Mohan Kamat passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad late on Wednesday night. He was 58 and had been ailing for some time.

For the past 13 years, he had been serving as the secretary of the Calicut Bullion Dealers Association and as the director of the Gold Workers Welfare Fund Board since 2010.

The funeral rites were held in Kozhikode on Thursday evening.

As a mark of respect to him, jewelleries across the State remained closed on Thursday.
