Teacher nabbed for molesting shop manager at airport

Nagpur:Keshav Kale, 32, a primary schoolteacher, has been booked for outraging the modesty of a confectionery shop manager at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport on Wednesday. The offence was registered at Sonegaon police station following a complaint by the shop’s assistant manager, who was the victim of Kale’s undue advances.
Sunita (name changed), works as assistant manager at the family-owned shop.
While her brother mans the shop earlier in the day, Sunita handles the shop in the afternoon. Another female employee too was present at the shop to help the complainant.
Kale, a native of Saoner, is a married man, who claimed to be under stress due to marital discord. He had come to the airport for some work and entered the shop on the pretext of purchasing some eatables.
When Kale entered the shop, there were other customers who later turned witnesses in the case. Sunita was taken aback by the sudden advances made by Kale, who tried to kiss the woman after grabbing her.
Despite being attacked, Sunita gathered her wits and pushed Kale away while raising an alarm. Sunita’s assistant also intervened and dragged Kale out of the shop. The ruckus attracted the attention of the police and other security personnel present on the premises, and Sonegaon cops were also informed. Kale was arrested by Sonegaon police.

It is learnt that while the police tried to probe the matter by involving women cops, they did not get adequate support from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). In the absence of closed circuit television cameras at the location, the cops had to depend on eyewitnesses to file the case.
Senior PI Ashok Bagul of Sonegaon police station said the charge sheet has been filed within 24 hours in the case.
