BJP bags top posts in Nissing, Taraori MCs

BJP candidates were today elected chairperson and vice chairperson of the Municipal Committees in Nissing and Taraori. In Taraori, both the candidates were elected unopposed. Rekha Rani, sister-in-law of Nilokheri MLA Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, was elected as chairperson and Pankaj Goyel as vice-chairperson.

Similarly, in Nissing, BJP-backed Salinder Kumar was elected as the chairperson. He received ten votes, while his rival Navneet Kumar received four votes. Vinod Kumar was unanimously elected as vice-chairperson.

Nilokheri MLA exhorted them to work hard for overall development of areas within the jurisdiction of the civic bodies.
