The second round of the six-round MRF MoGrip-FMSCI National supercross championship will be held near Jenneys Club on Sunday.
The Coimbatore-leg has attracted about 100 entries across eight categories.
The opener at Goa saw a record number (120-plus) of entries.
K.P. Aravind (Team TVS, Bengaluru), A.W. Tanveer and Rugved Barguje (Team TVS), the Indians who had participated in recent Asian supercross events in Sri Lanka and the UAE, will be seen in action.
DebutAravind, the current championship leader, will be making his debut in the Dakar Rally. He is only the second Indian to ride the most demanding race in the world after C.S. Santhosh, who has also won several titles in the MRF Mogrip National SX in the past.
Privateers Jignesh Patel, Prince Singh and Jatin Jain (Nagpur) are the other prominent riders in fray.
Suhail, Pinkesh and Naresh will be the ones to watch out for in the group-C races.
Anand, Vikram Shekhar, Navaneethakrishnan, Jagadish Kumar and Asar are the home riders who will battle it out in the local class.
The scrutiny and administration checks will be held on Friday and Saturday followed by the big battle on Sunday.
