New homes could be constructed on an outdoor activities site in Swansea.

Swansea council's cabinet has approved the sale of Dan-y-Coed House in West Cross to Bellway Homes after the property was put on the market.

It is not yet known how much it sold for, but proceeds from the sale will be reinvested back into council services.

All bookings taken for Dan-y-Coed House up until the end of August this year will be honoured, the council said.

Dan-y-Coed House had been used as a centre for outdoor activities for many years, but the substantial costs needed to refurbish the building mean the council will instead focus resources on its two other centres in Rhossili and Port Eynon.
