We are relying more and more on the internet to do simple, everyday tasks nowadays. Going to the supermarket? No need, have it delivered to your door. Planning on visiting the local chip shop? Well, there’s an app for that.
With camera and satellite technology evolving at an incredible rate, it’s now at the point where we don’t even have to leave our computers to take a stroll around a car dealership or museum.
Most will be familiar with the aerial views Google Maps offers, but some may not know about Google Street View, which allows you to drop a virtual figure into the area you are looking at and have a walk around. But what about walking into buildings? Well, you can do that now, too.
A series of different manufacturers have opened their doors to Google Maps, allowing you to go on a self-guided tour around their dealerships and museums. Check out their plethora of cars, gaze at the buildings’ expensive décor and, the best bit, sit in them and make embarrassing car noises at your computer.
So, here are some top examples to get you started. Enjoy!
