The reports of a third instalment of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Don" has been in the news for a long time. Several speculations have been made regarding the star cast of the film, especially about the leading actress, who will replace Priyanka Chopra.
Priyanka was a part of both the instalments of Farhan Akhtar's "Don," but according to earlier reports, the actress would not appear in the third one. "Roma, the character Priyanka played in the two 'Don' films with Shah Rukh Khan, will now be played by some other actress. Neither the producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, nor Priyanka are inclined to get together to further the franchise any more," an insider had told the Asian Age.
The actress had to let go of the film because she is busy with her international projects. She already has a TV show â€" "Quantico" â€" to her credit and has wrapped up "Baywatch" with Dwanye "Rock" Johnson and Zac Efron.
However, there were rumours that either Katrina Kaif or Jacqueline Fernandez might replace PeeCee in "Don 3." Apart from these two, there are other actresses like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone, who will certainly fit the role.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena and Shah Rukh complement each other on the silver screen, thus, will look great in "Don 3." Also, Kareena looks perfect for the role as Roma. She has, in fact, made a special appearance in "Don" with a dance number, "Ye Mera Dil."
Anushka Sharma
Anushka and SRK have worked together in two films â€" "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" and "Jab Tak Hai Jaan." After seeing her as a wrestler in Salman Khan's "Sultan," it would be suffice to say that Anushka would definetly be the right choice to play SRK's "Junglee Billi."
Katrina Kaif
Though Katrina had said earlier that she has not been approached for the role, she will look great in PeeCee's character. SRK and Katrina have already worked together in "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" and share a good rapport.
Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline's name has been doing the rounds for quite a long time for "Don 3." SRK and Jacqueline will definitely make an interesting pair.
Deepika Padukone
Deepika and Shah Rukh have proved several times that they look perfect on-screen with their movies like "Om Shanti Om" and "Chennai Express." And after shooting for her Hollywood debut, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage," Deepika seems like a perfect option for the role in every way.
