Arsenal to beat Reds in race to sign Mario Gotze

Arsenal are beating Liverpool in the race to sign Germany star Mario Gotze.

The Gunners are believed to be in the race to capture the Bayern Munich forward this summer despite Jurgen Klopp's best efforts to link up with him once again.

Bayern are believed to be prepared to offload Gotze if their asking price is met.

But Gotze said recently: "I look forward to the new season in Munich and will do everything possible to be in top shape for my first training session under Carlo Ancelotti."

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes his future is looking more bleak and said: "He knows what the club thinks and what the new coach thinks. Mario has to evaluate for himself whether he wants to play constantly."
