These 4 tips will lead you on a path to happiness

Panos, author of “50 Ways to Yay! Transformative Tools for a Whole Lot of Happy” (North Star Way, out now), shares four tips to improve your life.

Master your mornings

Take time for yourself by setting up a morning ritual before 8 a.m. “Before opening your [work email] inbox, it’s important to take care of yourself by taking an hour to meditate and practice positive affirmations,” says Panos. “It really starts your day on a positive foot.”

Date yourself

Don’t dive into a summer fling until you’re content with yourself first. “You attract what you are,” Panos says. “If you speak to yourself with love and respect, and take care of your body, you will attract people from that positive space.”

Be appreciative

Whether it’s with a significant other, a parent or even a co-worker, the best way to improve any relationship is to let that person know how much he or she means to you. “Best of all it’s free, it’s easy and it feels spectacular,” Panos says.

Go the extra mile

Cutting corners on an upcoming project may provide temporary satisfaction, but true happiness comes from following through with every commitment. “True happiness, success and joy come from an inner knowing that we are people of integrity and, therefore, of excellence,” she says. “When we give more than what’s expected, we’ll always get more than we could have imagined as a result.”
