Guda Anjaiah laid to rest

The mortal remains of poet Guda Anjaiah were buried at his native Lingapur village in Dandepalli mandal of Adilabad district on Wednesday. The funeral was attended by Peddapalli MP Balka Suman, Mancherial MLA N. Diwakar Reddy, former Deputy Chief Minister T. Rajaiah, Dubbaka MLA Solipeta Ramlinga Reddy, balladeer Gaddar, Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi founder Manda Krishna Madiga and film producer R. Narayanmurthy.

The relatives of Anjaiah demanded that Dandepalli be named after the poet who was a staunch Telangana protagonist. They organised a rally at the village with his body. The leaders and others who attended the funeral assured the family members that they will inform Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of its condition in order to get some help from the State government. Mr. Manda Krishna Madiga criticised the government for not giving the poet a State funeral.
