Kurnool Collector orders suspension of two officials

District Collector Ch. Vijayamohan ordered suspension of water inspector Siddhaiah and sanitary inspector Ravi for one month during an inspection of slum areas in Sanjeevaiah Nagar near Kurnool district court on Wednesday.

The Collector pulled up municipal officials when he visited the slum areas along with Kurnool MLA S.V. Mohan Reddy, when people complained of drinking water supply at midnight and non-clearance of garbage and choked drains for long periods. When several people complained of exclusion of their names from the list of pensioners, Mr. Vijayamohan assured to examine and take remedial measures.

Problems confronting the people in 106 slum areas in Kurnool city would be enlisted and resolved within the next three months, the Collector said. He appealed to people to cooperate with the officials in undertaking beautification works.

Kurnool MLA S.V. Mohan Reddy wanted developmental works carried out at a brisk pace. Kurnool Municipal Commissioner S. Ravindra Babu and other officials participated.
