GNDU researcher to participate in Nobel laureates’ meeting in Germany

AMRITSAR: Yashika Ghai, a PhD student in the Department of Physics, Guru Nanak Dev University, working under the guidance of Prof NPS Saini in the field of Plasma Physics, is going to attend the 66th Meeting Of Nobel Laureates and Students at Lindau, Germany, from June 26 to July 1.

Yashika Ghai, a PhD student in the Department of Physics, Guru Nanak Dev University, working under the guidance of Prof NPS Saini in the field of Plasma Physics, is going to attend the 66th Meeting Of Nobel Laureates and Students at Lindau, Germany, from June 26 to July 1.

Each year since 1951, Nobel Prize winners in Chemistry, Physics, Physiology or Medicine have been meeting in Lindau to discuss major issues of importance to their fields with students from around the world. The meeting includes lectures, panel and round-table discussions on interdisciplinary topics and informal small-group meetings with Nobel Prize winners.

More than 30 Nobel laureates and 400 young researchers from 80 countries will participate in this year’s Lindau meeting. Yashika is the only student selected from Punjab for this event nominated by the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, along with 20 students from all over India.
