Tessa plays a mother of two in Gold Coins

Tessa plays a mother of two in Gold Coins
Actress Tessa had her first screen appearance in the Mammootty-starrer Pattalam 13 years ago, for which she received a lot of accolades. The actress, who was recently seen in Rajamma@yahoo in a cameo, will soon be essaying the role of a mother of two in a children's film titled 'Gold Coins'.
The film, directed by debutant Pramod G Gopal, delves into the lives of two kids, Achu and Kichu aged eight and 10.
Tessa says, 'I play their mother named Sujatha, who values even the smallest of things in life. The story of the movie was such that I couldn't resist being part of it.'
She adds, 'The film revolves around a gift the kids get, and when they realise that it is not theirs, they set out on a journey to find out its real owner. The struggles they go through during the outing form the rest of the story.'
Tessa, who is a mother of two in real life as well, says she could forge a bond with the kids at the first meeting itself.
She adds, 'The moment the kids saw me on the sets, they gave me a tight hug and sat on my lap. They put up a really brilliant performance, and everyone on the set was trying to catch up with their energy level.'
She will also be playing a prominent role in Marupadi, a VM Vinu directorial, featuring Rahman and Bhamaa.
