Cabinet approves 611cr fordole to educated jobseekers

Patna: The state cabinet on Wednesday OK'd the planning and development department's proposal for an estimated expenditure of Rs 110 crore for the current financial year and Rs 501 crore for the next five years for 'Mukhyamantri Nishchay evam Sahayata Bhatta Yojna'. Under this scheme, the state government will provide Rs 1,000 per month as stipend to educated jobseekers for nine months a year twice between 20 to 25 years of age.
Briefing mediapersons after the cabinet meeting, Upendra Nath Pandey, joint secretary, cabinet secretariat department, said the cabinet also approved the proposal of home department to install mobile phone jammers worth Rs 6.50 crore at Beur central jail here under a pilot project by Bharat Electronics Limited.

Yet another proposal OK'd by the cabinet was to provide Rs 14,000 per month to retired chief justices as well as judges of Patna high court for keeping a driver, orderly and security guard. They would also get an additional Rs 12,000 per month for engaging a personal assistant and telephone allowance for 1500 calls per month .
The cabinet also approved the release of Rs 259 crore for the payment of dues as well as current financial allowance to the elected representatives of three-tier panchayati raj.
It also approved the proposal of labour department for single tender system for the selection of agency to carry out programmes like knowledge framework provider, e-content provider and implementation support agency, which are part of 'saat nishchay (seven resolves)' of CM Nitish to provide communication and computer skills to youths.
Altogether 14 proposals got a green signal at the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar.
