SAD warns Capt Amarinder to desist from intimidation tactics

Chandigarh, Jun 22 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today slammed PCC president Capt Amarinder Singh for "issuing threats to Punjab officers" who are working tirelessly for the development of state and warned him to "desist from such intimidation tactics which led to his downfall in general as well as by-elections contested in the past."
Reacting to Capt Singh's threats to officials, SAD secretary and Education minister Daljit Singh Cheema reminded septuagenarian leader Amarinder that he was neither the chief minister of the state nor the officers serving in Punjab were under his 'Royal Rule'.
The party told PPCC president that the officers of the state government are directly working under a constitutionally elected government and he has no business to threaten the bureaucracy which is working as per the wishes of democratically elected government. If he has any point to make, he should dare to point it out to the government.
