Paul Clement has been appointed assistant manager at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The 44-year-old, who was sacked as manager of Sky Bet Championship side Derby in February, links up with Carlo Ancelotti once again having worked with the Italian at Chelsea, Paris St Germain and Real Madrid.

The Rams were in fifth place when they dismissed Clement.

Hermann Gerland has been kept on as an assistant coach, retaining the role he has held under Louis van Gaal, Jupp Heynckes and Pep Guardiola.

Ancelotti has added his son, Davide, to the club's health and fitness team.
