Aishwarya said, "It is an honour to associate with Sab TV and a show that is a dream for the actors. In a daily soap we get tired playing one character over and over again for years. Khidki is one show where actors will get the chance to play different characters. I had a very selfish reason to join the show since it will help be break the stereotype of a bahu. Here I am playing the role of a girl who is a tomboy who doesn't think twice before punching anyone. It is a very interesting character."

"Whenever I see a daily soap I think why are they stretching it so much? A story can be told with simplicity and I think we have cracked that with this show," she added.
JD Majethia, who will be seen hosting the series said, "The show is based on real life fun stories. With this I mean that it's based on the lives of people. We received 12,000 stories in the first two weeks of announcing the show and then we shortlisted few out of those.''

Talking about the concept of the show, Umesh Shukla said, "JD is a close friend of mine. When I was promoting one of my movies on his TV show, he said 'I have done several shows till today, but I want to do something new and different now.'. Then I thought that we must do something new. See, there is comedy of all kinds, so it came to my mind that why not make a show through which we can televise the stories of people. There are incidents in one's life whcih they tend to think of and laugh, so we are just trying to share those funny stories through this show.''
Directed by Umesh Shukla, Khidki will begin airing from June 28.
