CM to dedicate Singareni power unit in July

: Generation of infirm power in the second unit of the 2x600 MW thermal power project of the Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) at Jaipur in Adilabad district is expected to reach to its capacity of 600 MW by the second week of July. Timeline for improving the plant load factor of the second unit that has been generating power on experimental basis from the last week of May was announced by Chairman and Managing Director of SCCL N. Sridhar during a visit to the project on Tuesday. Mr. Sridhar stated that the first unit of the plant had so far generated 40 million units (MU) from June 1 and the experimental generation in the second unit would also reach its capacity by July second week since its synchronisation with the grid was already completed. Operation of the second unit with coal would commence by the end of this month, Mr. Sridhar said adding that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would dedicate the project to people in July last week.
