A 31 percent rise in streams helps to push the song to the chart peak, earning the Streaming Gainer tag and increasing to 2.4 million U.S. on-demand plays in the week ending June 16, according to Nielsen Music. YouTube claims the most clicks, with 69 percent of the overall streams. Over on the Latin Streaming Songs chart, “Bobo” reaches a new peak — rising 4-2.
“Bobo” is the second single from Balvin’s Energia album, which will be released June 24. Most recently, he spent 22 weeks atop Hot Latin Songs with the set’s lead track, “Ginza.”
Two additional preview songs from the album were released exclusively on Apple Music on June 17; “Safari,” featuring Pharrell, BIA & Sky, and “Malvada,” which could impact the charts dated July 9.

‘Hips’ Hikes To No. 1: Lastly, news of the 10th anniversary of Shakira’s former No. 1 Hot Latin Songs hit “Hips Don’t Lie,” featuring Wyclef Jean, helps cause the song to soar 12-1 on the Latin Digital Songs chart (up 264 percent, to 5,000 downloads). The track spends its 15th week at the top of the latter chart, and first since 2014. Since the inception of the chart in 2010, “Hips” has not fallen out of the top 20. The song remains Shakira and Wyclef Jean’s only No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, where it crowned the chart for 2 weeks in 2006.
