With an eye on America’s shifting tastes for nonalcoholic beverages, Taco John’s is launching a series of premium drink options this summer. The Mexican quick-service chain is offering its first new flavor, Lipton Berrylicious Iced Tea, through July 24 in nearly 400 locations across the country.

“We know our guests and potential customers are looking for alternatives that are better for them. At the same time, they expect original flavors that deliver great taste,” says Jeff Linville, CEO for Taco John’s. “That’s why we’re so excited about this line of beverages we’re able to offer in collaboration with Lipton.”

Taco John’s is making a commitment to beverage innovation in hopes of attracting new guests, especially Millennials. According to a study recently conducted by Mintel, 67 percent of Americans say they sometimes or frequently purchase new or different beverages. And 18 percent say they drink a wide range of beverages.

“Taco John’s will introduce a total of four new premium beverages this year,” Linville says. “Orange Mango Dew and Strawberry Citrus Rush will be available July 25 through September 25. Blood Orange Mist Twist will be on the menu from September 26 to November 27.”

To encourage guests to try its new beverages, Taco John’s is offering a Happy Hour. At participating locations, 20-ounce premium drinks will be available for $1 every day between 2 to 4 p.m.
