Actress
Pavani Gangireddy is on a roll. The actress, who was last seen in Sumanth Ashwin's
Right Right and
Mahesh Babu's
Brahmotsavam before that, has now signed on to play Godess Bhoodevi in Nagarjuna's next, tentatively titled Om Namo Venkatesa.
'The film will see Vimala Raman play Sreedevi, one of Balaji's two wives. And Pavani has been cast as Bhoodevi. Saurabh Raaj Jain plays Lord Venkateswara in the film,' informs a source close to the film's unit.
Apparently, Pavani was zeroed in after she aced the screen test. 'When Pavani was approached, she was excited about playing a role in a mythological and immediately gave a nod. Also, the star cast of the film and director K Raghavendra Rao was a huge lure for this Hyderabadi,' adds the source.
The film that also stars Anushka Shetty in a key role, traces the life and times of Baba Hathiram who dedicated his life in service to the Lord of the Seven Hills.
