The Edmonton Oilers will open their 2016-17 season on Wednesday, October 12 with a home game at the new Rogers Place against the Calgary Flames.

The second of four Battles of Alberta will be two days later in Calgary.

Other notable home tilts include the Toronto Maple Leafs on November 29, the first New Year’s Eve game at Rogers Place against the Vancouver Canucks, defending Stanley Cup champions Pittsburgh Penguins on March 10, and the Montreal Canadiens on March 12.

The Oilers will close out the regular season at Rogers Place against the Canucks on April 9.
