Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 21 2016 10:56PM Epiderine case : spl prosecutor wants pre-arrest bail seeker to be present in courtThane, Jun 21 (UNI) Special Public Prosecutor in the infamous Rs. 2000 crore Epiderine case, Shishir Hiray, today insisted in a district court that the an applicant seeking anticipatory bail should be present in the court. Thane Special Judge M N Patwardhan was hearing the anticipatory bail application of one Sushil Subramaniam, who apprehends arrest in the infamous case like the others. Praying for the bail his counsel told the court that Subramaniam was only a shipping agent and he had couple of times gone to Solapur along with his friend Gill in his (Subramaniams) car. Beyond this there is no role of him in the case he said. Mr Hiray told the court that whatever was placed before the court was incorrect and he would come out with the facts when his turn to reply to the bail comes he said. Later talking to newsmen at the corridor Mr Hiray said Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni who is also made one of the accused in the infamous case in which Vicky Goswami is also a prime accused, has no more status. "She is an accused now and will be dealt with as the other accused are dealt. The needful procedure to get her here would be followed," he said. Adv Ayaz Khan argued the bail for former director of the Avon Company Manoj Jain and informed the court that there were two distinct materials seized by the police during the raid of the company. One was the Epiderine which was found from the plant and the other one was D-Epiderine which was stored in the premises. He brought out the so called technical flaws in the CA Report of the D-edpiderine seized from the company premises. He compared the local CA report with that of the United Nations Drug Test Specifications of the Epiderine and pointed out the flaws. He also alleged in the court that the police have blown out of proportion by the police with the prejudiced mind and misguide every including the courts.
