Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram has opined that the State government has to work on the lines of public thoughts.
The Telangana Political JAC observed Prof. Jayashankar’s death anniversary at its office here on Tuesday. Paying floral tributes to Jayashankar’s portrait, Prof. Kodandaram reminded the words of Jayashankar that one has to strive unitedly for the development of the Telangana. He called upon the people to walk on the path shown by Jayashanker.
Achieving separate Telangana State was one step and achieving development of the State was another step, he asserted. Making it clear that the TPJAC will not respond immediately on any issue, Prof. Kodandaram said it will respond on the issues only after thorough study.
Praising Jayashankar’s idealism, Prof. Kodandaram said the persons were not permanent but their ideals were permanent. It was not possible to fill the void created by the death of Jayashankar Sir, who stood as an inspiration for the last phase Telangana movement, he said. “We don’t need the Telangana which benefits contractors and realtors. We strive for the development of the Telangana State”, he added. (NSS)
