The Zabbia Insurance Agency, a family owned insurance firm with offices serving communities throughout the greater Long Island region, is initiating a charity drive to raise funds in support of Terese McCarthy, a local wife and mother of two who is currently battling leukemia.

Not only does Terese look after her two daughters, she cares for her nephew, elderly father, and ill sister, all of whom live in her home. Since her recent leukemia diagnosis Terese has begun what will likely be a long and grueling chemotherapy campaign. The Zabbia charity drive is intended to raise funds that will ensure she is able to continue caring for her family for the duration of her fight with cancer.

"Terese is a strong and courageous woman and I have no doubt she'll win her fight against cancer, but she will need help to ensure that her family is properly cared for while she recovers," says Robert Zabbia, owner and manager of Zabbia Insurance Agency.
