QED merges with SP to give new poll equation in eastern UP

Lucknow,Jun 21(UNI) Barring mafia don Mukhtar Ansari, the entire Quami Ekta Dal(QED) of the Ansari brothers of eastern Uttar Pradesh merged with the ruling Samajwadi Party here today.
Samajwadi party general secretary and UP minister Shivpal Pal Singh Yadav,announcing the merger in presence of Afzal Ansari president of the QED and his brother Sibutullah Ansari, said that Mukhtar was not a part of the merger.
SP had to face severe criticism over the joining of mafia don Mukhtar Ansari in the party, leading to his absence in the merger list.
