Consolation prizes for children of fishermen

Applications have been invited for the consolation prize given to children of fishermen who secured high marks in the SSLC, Plus Two and VHSE examinations.

A pressnote issued here on Monday said Rs.5,000 would be given to students who secured A+ for all subjects. For those who secured A+ in nine subjects, Rs.4,000 would be given and for those who secured A+ in eight subjects, Rs.3,000 would be given.

Similarly, Rs.5,000 would be given for students who secured A+ for all subjects in the Plus Two and VHSE examinations.

Three students who secured the highest grades for the SSLC examinations at the Government Regional Fisheries Technical High Schools would be given prizes.

Last date

The last date for submitting applications to the Fisheries Officer is 4 p.m. on July 15.
