Court rejects bail in case of forged birth certificate

Colva:Additional district and sessions court rejected the bail application of accused Renuka Tasildar arrested for allegedly forging certificates to register her birth in the state to get a Goan identity. Pedro Agostinho Fernandes had filed a police complaint that Renuka Shivaji Tasildar, a resident of Rawanfond, Aquem-Margao, had allegedly obtained forged documents from the Margao Municipal Council with the help of another accused in 2008.
Subsequently she got a court order to register her birth as Reeta Fernandes. On the basis of the birth certificate, she registered her marriage claiming that the landlord Pedro Agostinho Fernandes (complainant) and his wife Maria Ida Fernandes are her parents.
