Dairy staffer robbed of Rs 9.80 lakh

Faridabad, June 20

Jai Prakash (44), an employee of Vita dairy products trader Rajender Sekhawat, was robbed of Rs 9.80 lakh at gunpoint in Sector 9 here around 10.45 am today. The employee got seriously injured in the scuffle in which the armed criminals opened fire at him before escaping with the money. The victim’s condition is reported to be critical.

Jai Prakash was on his way to deposit Rs 9.80 lakh in a bank located just at a stone’s throw from Sekhawat’s house. As he reached the parking of the bank, masked youths pounced upon him and asked him to hand over the bag containing the money. Jai Paraksh who resisted their attempt was overpowered and money was snatched away by the criminals. — TNS
