India thrash Zimbabwe by 10 wkts in second T20I
Harare, Jun 20 (UNI) After a narrow loss in the first T20I, team India bounced back in style and thrashed Zimbabwe by 10 wickets to make it 1-1 in the three-match series at the Harare Sports Club here today. Chasing a paltry 100, India got off to a flying start as both the openers, Lokesh Rahul (52 not out) and Mandeep Singh (48 not out) forged 103-run winning partnership to guide India home with 41 balls remaining. Earlier, riding on some brilliant bowling display, Men in Blue restricted Zimbabwe to a paltry 99 for nine. Pacer Birender Sran along with Jasprit Bumrah created havoc in the middle as they both scalped seven wickets to bundle out the African minnows. For Zimbabwe, wicketkeeper-batsman Peter Moor (31) was the highest scorer for the hosts while Malcoln Waller scored 14. For India, apart from Sran (4/10) and Bumrah (3/11), leggie Yuzvendra Chahal and pacer Dhawal Kulkarni also took one wicket respectively. UNI XC GAU KU 1915
