National Instruments Names Vice President of Marketing

National Instruments (Austin, Texas) announced today that John Graff has been named the company's Vice President of Marketing. Graff served as acting Vice President of Marketing for the past six months.

"John Graff has demonstrated visionary leadership in building a world class e-commerce marketing operation," said Dr. James Truchard, president and CEO of National Instruments. "A prime example of his leadership is John's marketing knowledge and strategic direction in developing National Instruments Online Store announced in March 1999. The Online Store is a test and measurement industry groundbreaking initiative from which engineers and scientists around the world can browse and select from more than 700 products for computer-based measurement and automation applications." Dr. Truchard adds that Graff has also lead numerous successful product marketing, database, corporate branding, and international marketing initiatives.

During Graff's 12-year career with National Instruments, he spearheaded engineering and marketing activities for several hardware and software products. He was promoted to director of Corporate Marketing in 1995. Recently, Graff led National Instruments substantial Worldwide Web efforts including e-commerce. As Vice President of Marketing, Graff is responsible for worldwide marketing and promotion for the company's complete line of software and hardware.

Graff earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He joined National Instruments in 1987 as an applications engineer.
