Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 20 2016 3:54PM FEFKA stages dharna in front of Censor Board officeThiruvananthapuram, June 20 (UNI) Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) representing Malayalam film directors and technicians, today staged a dharna in front of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) office here in protest against the denial of certification for the movie Kathakali, directed by filmmaker Saijo Kannanaikkal, alleging portrayal of nudity and vulgarity. Speaking on the occasion, Sijo Kannanaikkal, who is also an employee of the cooperative department of the Kerala Government, termed the Board’s demand for three cuts, including the climax scene, as an infringement on the creative freedom of a filmmaker.
