Four arrested for murder of angadia firm staffer in Halol

Godhra local crime branch (DCB) on Sunday arrested four persons in connection with an attempt to loot and murder at an angadia firm on Halol Road on June 6.

Vadodara: Godhra local crime branch (DCB) on Sunday arrested four persons in connection with an attempt to loot and murder at an angadia firm on Halol Road on June 6. The gang had stabbed Babubhai Prajapati to death when he was sitting in the firm. Police said they had examined footages of the CCTV installed on the route of Kishan Jayesh Angadia firm and also questioned those connected with the business of the deceased.

"We got information that Hasmukh Prajapati, a resident of Warasia Ring Road in Vadodara, who used to work earlier with Kishan Jayesh Angadia firm, was involved in the crime. So we picked him up and he revealed details of the crime he committed and whereabouts of his accomplices. Hasmukh presently runs a cutlery shop and he had taken a loan of Rs1.50 lakh to start it," police said. "He wasn't earning well from his new shop and had lot of debts. So Hasmukh decided to loot the angadia firm," Prajapati added.
He then contacted Rakesh Maachi, a resident of Kishanwadi, Hiralal Turi, Hitesh Jaswantpura and an unidentified person and planned the crime. The accused then came to Halol on two motorbikes on June 4 and did recce of the angadia firm and Prajapati's movements. On June 6, Hitesh and Rakesh Maachi entered the angadia firm and stabbed Prajapati several times. When those present in the firm raised alarm, the duo rushed out of the shop and fled on a motorbike with Hiralal Turi, who was waiting on a motorbike nearby. The police have now begun search for the fifth unidentified accused and the two motorbikes used in the crime.
