Biker flung off bridge while overtaking car

A man died after falling from the height of a railway overbridge (ROB) when his motorcycle was hit by a car in Udhna on Sunday.The deceased was trying to overtake the car from the wrong side.

Surat: A man died after falling from the height of a railway overbridge (ROB) when his motorcycle was hit by a car in Udhna on Sunday. The deceased was trying to overtake the car from the wrong side.
Govinda Yadav, who was a resident of Dindoli and worked at a textile unit, died on the spot after falling from Dindoli Udhna ROB. Yadav, who was going to Pandesara at his sister's residence on his motorcycle, tried to overtake the car from the wrong side which hit it in speed, causing him to fall from the bridge.

Yadav suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The motorcycle and car suffered damage in the accident. Police suspect both the vehicles were in high speed. "The car driver escaped from the location. The driver will be identified from the car's registration number," said police, adding that the vehicle has been seized. "Our investigation is not over yet. However, it seems the motorcycle rider was overtaking from wrong side and got hit by the car," said P B Sapra, police inspector, Udhna police station.
