Three booked for dowry death
Nagpur: Three persons of a family, including a mother-son duo, have been bookd for dowry death following the suicide of Vrushali Waghmare at her in-laws’ place at Bhuteshwar Nagar on Friday last week. She had hanged herself.
The persons booked have been identified as Vrushali’s husband Prashant, his mother Sugandha and sister-in-law Vandana. The complaint was lodged by Vrushali’s mother Asha Surankar.
Prashant and Vrushali had tied the knot last year. Their marriage was hit by dowry demands. Prashant and his family had been allgedly torturing Vrushali for 50,000 to purchase a vehicle.
Three end life in separate cases
Komal Thakre (21), mother of a 3-year-old boy, hanged herself at her residence at Swagat Nagar, New Narsala, Hudkeshwar on Saturday. She was living at her uncle’s place after separating from her husband Sachin over a domestic dispute in October 2015. Cops said no suicide note was found.
Sanjay Rahangdale (36) committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence at Zingabai Takli, Mankapur, on Friday night. Police said no suicide note was found.
In the third case, 34-year-old Ashwin Khare, a resident of Bhaldarpura, ended his life by hanging himself at his residence sometime between Thursday and Saturday.
