PUNE: The Regional Passport Office on Senapati Bapat Road is considering holding passport camps on a daily basis to allow nearly 150 applicants to submit their forms directly to the RPO.
The ongoing passport camp has reduced the waiting period for appointments to less than 10 days. It will conclude on July 1. "The long-term camp will allow processing of more applications, thus taking off the load of appointments at the Passport Seva Kendra in Mundhwa," regional passport officer Atul Gotsurve said on Wednesday.
The new Passport Seva Kendra in Solapur, which will become operational by October, will help significantly reduce the number of applications in the city, he added.
