Filmfare South 2016: A night of filmi bonhomie
From Pranitha Subhash who pranced around on stage impishly as she grooved to the peppy I wanna Follow Follow You to Rakul Preet Singh who sent the crowds into raptures as she shimmied to a medley of hit tracks including Mega Metre, it was the leading ladies of the South who added a filmi tadka to the proceedings at the 63rd Britannia Filmfare Awards South 2016.
Hariprriya kicked off the evening with her stellar act where she performed to a compilation of Kannada chartbusters.
What followed was Mollywood star Rima Kallingals graceful fusion act, which she choreographed herself! Aparna Vinods Johnny Mone Johnny received a thunderous applause as well.
It was Catherine Tresa who stole the show though, with her stupendous entry on a bike. She followed it up with a groovy performance to her songs from Sarrainodu and Tamil film Madras.
The last two acts ended the night on a high note. While Rakul was mass personified, Amy Jackson locked, popped and even did a lil robot jig, while performing to some catchy numbers like Hosanna and Na Manasu Nelo.
